First Impression: Resident Evil 6

My gaming buddy and I have waited quite a while for Resident Evil 6 to be released. First Impression: Darksiders II

The original Darksiders has you play as the horseman War, whereas Darksiders II places you in Death’s shoes. There’s something about Death’s persona that I just can’t get into, and so far I much prefer War’s character to Death’s. The gameplay is just as good, if not better than the first, and has some intense battles, especially playing on Apocalyptic difficulty. The plot puts a unique twist on the apocalypse, flowing simultaneously with War’s story, initially with Death attempting to redeem War by restoring humanity back to life. I did get a bit of a laugh from this, but it fits in with the story that carries over from Darksiders, and isn’t a thrown-together idea to tie in the two games. κ

Expect a full review of Darksiders II soon.
